With his Black Bears down three points in the championship game of the Smoky Mountain Winter Classic, Harlan County sophomore point guard Maddox Huff took over with 11 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter as HCHS downed tournament host Gatlinburg-Pittman 77-69. Huff scored 12 points in the Bears’ semifinal victory over Sardis, Ala., and earned Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors for his play in the tournament. Huff is averaging almost 16 points a game for the Bears, who improved to 10-3 with three wins in Gatlinburg.
