Lady Dragons roll into All ‘A’ regional finals with rout of Barbourville

Aymanni Wynn scored 26 points to lead Harlan to a 68-30 win over Barbourville in the All “A” Classic regional semifinals on Thursday.

A 26-point scoring effort from Aymanni Winn combined with 22 points from Kylie Noe, 11 points from Emma Owens and nine points by Peighton Jones allowed Harlan to overpower Barbourville 68-30 on Thursday in the 13th Region All “A” Classic semifinals
Harlan (6-7) jumped out to a 27-8 lead in the first quarter behind Wynn’s 12 points, and Noe’s 10-point scoring effort, and they never looked back.
Wynn, and Owens each scored eight points apiece in the second quarter while Jones added seven points, pushing Harlan’s advantage to 50-17 at halftime. Noe scored 10 points in the third quarter while exempting the Lady Green Dragons’ edge to 68-25.
Layla Brock led Barbourville (2-7) with nine points. Danni Jordan added eight points.

Jackson County earned its spot in the 13th Region All ‘A’ Classic Tournament title game against host Harlan by delivering Pineville a convincing 55-36 setback.
The 12-2 Lady Generals became the first 13th Region team to win 12 games this season with the 19-point victory.
Abby Gilbert led the way with 19 points while Jenna Creech had 17 points, and Kyler Shannon finished with 12 points.
Jackson County led 31-23 at halftime before outscoring Pineville (10-5), 24-13, in the second half.
Nadine Johnson led the Lady Lions with 21 points.
