Lady Dragons struggle to score in loss at Pineville

Harlan sophomore Kylie Noe scored 12 points to lead the Lady Dragons in a loss Tuesday at Pineville.

On a night when offense was a struggle for both teams, Pineville held visiting Harlan to two points in the fourth quarter on the way to a 44-27 victory.
Pineville (11-5) was able to overcome a 17-of-56 shooting effort. Pineville (6-9) only mustered three points in the first quarter while trailing 6-3 before outscoring the Lady Dragons 41-21 the remainder of the game.
The Lady Lions led 19-17 at halftime and 36-25 at the end of the third quarter before outscoring the Lady Dragons 8-2 in the final eight minutes.
Harlan shot only 24 percent from the field, hitting eight of 34 shots while missing all seven 3-point attempts.
Ava Arnett led Pineville with three 3-pointers and 13 points. Nadine Johnson scored 12 points while finishing with 10 rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Abby Jackson scored all eight of her points in the second half while collecting five assists, and four rebounds. Malley Smith followed with a seven-point scoring effort.
Kylie Noe led Harlan with 12 points. Emma Owens added six.
