Harlan coach Derrick Akal described Kyler McLendon’s 41-point performance Thursday in a hard-fought 88-86 win as “special.” The junior guard has been special many times this season in Harlan’s 17-2 start that has helped the Green Dragons earn a ranking as one of the state’s top 25 teams.
