Lady Bears fall at Southwestern in regular-season finale

Harlan County guard Ella Karst went up for a shot earlier this season against Harlan’s Emma Owens. The Lady Bears closed the regular season on Saturday with a loss at Pulaski Southwestern and will take on Harlan in the 52nd District Tournament on Monday at Middlesboro.

Harlan County closed its regular-season schedule Friday with a 64-29 loss at Pulaski Southwestern.
Hailey Austin scored 11 points and Ella Karst added 10 to lead the Lady Bears. Taylor Lunsford and Jaylin Smith chipped in with three and two points, respectively. Paige Phillips, Whitley Teague and Cheyenne Rhymer added one each.
The 21-8 Lady Bears play Harlan at 7:30 p.m. on Monday in the 52nd District Tournament at Middlesboro.
