HCHS boys take third, girls finish fifth at North Laurel

The Harlan Country track team traveled to North Laurel to compete in an all-comers meet on Tuesday. The boys placed third overall with 109.50 points, right behind Corbin (113) and North Laurel (113.50). The girls placed fifth with 69 points, right behind Corbin (71).

To lead the Bears, Connor Blevins was the overall winner in shot put.

Luke Kelly finished third in the 200-meter dash.

Andrew Yeary placed second in the 800-meter run.

Tanner Daniels finished second in the 3,200-meter run.

Dallas Sergent was second in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles.

Taelor Haywood placed third in long jump.

Jayce Brown was second in pole vault.

Austin Crain, Yeary, Jacob Schwenke and Hunter Crain finished third in the 4 x 400 meter relay.

Yeary, Austin Crain, Kyle Farley and Schwenke were third in the 4 x 800 meter relay.

Ella Karst led the Lady Bears, placing second in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash.

Lauren Lewis finished second in the 3,200-meter run.

Taylor Lunsford was third in shot put.

Taytum Griffin, Emilee Eldridge, Aliyah Deleon and Karst were second in the 4 x 100 meter relay and third in the 4 x 200 meter relay.
