Lady Bears pound out 17 hits in win at Barbourville

Harlan County’s Brittleigh Estep, pictured in action earlier this season, drove in four runs Tuesday in the Lady Bears’ 17-11 win at Barbourville.

Harlan County collected 17 hits and won for the fourth time in five games with a 17-11 victory Tuesday at Barbourville.
Halle Raleigh led the Lady Bears with three hits. Halanah Shepherd added a double and single. Jenna Wilson singled twice. Rylie Maggard and Brittleigh Estep each added triples. Aviyah Halcomb, Hailey Austin, Lesleigh Brown and Madison Blair contributed one single each.
Wilson drove in four runs and Brown drove home three. Wilson, Austin, Brown and Hannah Raleigh each scored three runs
Shepherd struck out three and walked seven in 4 2/3 innings, giving up eight runs (six earned) on five hits. Blair gave up three unearned runs in 2 1/3 innings, with five strikeouts and two walks.
Kaitlyn McDonal led the 2-16 Lady Tigers with a double. Katie Joe Crawford, Aubrey Woolum, Riley Smith, Lauren Smith and Autumn Bryant added one single each.
The 11-10 Lady Bears return to action Thursday at Lynn Camp.
