Casolari tosses two-hitter as Redskins shut out Harlan

Zayden Casolari pitched a two-hitter with 14 strikeouts and one walk as Cumberland blanked visiting Harlan 8-0 in middle school baseball action Thursday.
Kayden Adams led the Redskins on offense with two singles. Casolari and Byron Shepherd added one single each.
Cumberland coasted past Fleming-Neon 14-4 on Friday as Gavin Lloyd led the Redskins with a triple and three singles. Braxton Bowen added two doubles and a single. Adams added a triple and double. Casolari had a triple and single. Hayden Cornett singled twice. Carson Clark doubled. Kyllian Jackson added a single.
Cornett pitched 3 1/3 innings and struck out two. Clark struck out four in 1 2/3 innings.
