Harlan County senior Braden Engle, pictured in action earlier this season, was an 8-3 winner Friday against Whitley County as the Bears swept the boys and girls matches.

The Harlan County girls won their third match of the week and the boys won their second with a sweep of Whitley County on Friday.
The HCHS girls improved to 13-6 on the season with a 7-2 win. The boys improved to 11-8 with a 3-1 win.
“I’m very proud of our teams for both wins tonight. All of our girls played great matches. We’re starting to get into the right form at the best time before the 13th Region Tournament,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “The boys stepped up in a big way and pulled a win tonight. It was a great week of tennis.”
Harlan County will play at North Laurel on Monday and at home against South Laurel on Tuesday.
