Lady Dragons pound out 25 hits in sweep of Knott Central

Harlan’s Addison Jackson connected on a pitch in action earlier this season. Jackson had four hits Saturday in the Lady Dragons’ doubleheader sweep of Knott Central.

The Harlan offense came alive Saturday in a doubleheader sweep of visiting Knott Central, collecting 25 hits over two games.
The Lady Dragons had 11 hits in a 13-3 five-inning win to start the day. Ella Farley and Addison Jackson each scored three runs as Farley had two triples and Jackson added a triple and double. Gracie Hensley and Ally Kirby singled two times each. Ella Lisenbee drove in four runs as she had a triple. Ava Nunez added a double. Mallory McNiel had a single.
McNiel gave up two earned runs over five innings on five hits. She struck out three and walked two.
Lisenbee added three more RBI in the nightcap with a triple and two singles in Harlan’s 15-9 victory. Abbi Fields had a double and single. Jackson and Nunez had two singles each. Jalyn Wynn, Amy Roman, Hensley, McNiel and Farley added one single each.
McNiel gave up four runs on 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings in the circle. Roman gave up five runs on six hits in 1 1/3 innings.
The 5-15 Lady Dragons travel to Knox Central on Monday and Harlan County on Tuesday.
