Trying to end a 10-year drought between 52nd District titles, the Harlan County Black Bears are working to build momentum going into this year’s postseason and senior outfielder Braydon Burton is doing his part. Burton hit an inside-the-park homer Friday as the Bears exploded for 21 hits in a 19-9 rout of Barbourville. Burton also had a pair of hits Tuesday as the Bears fell 7-5 at Knox Central, earning Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors for his performance in the two games.
