Eli Freyer earned a starting job at first base for the Harlan Green Dragons early in his eighth-grade season. He had his breakout game on Wednesday in leading the Dragons to a 13-10 win over Leslie County in their final home game of the season, earning Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week honors in the process. Freyer pitched 3 1/3 shutout innings in relief to earn the win on the mound and also led the Harlan offense with three hits and three RBI.
