Harlan track teams compete in Class A state meet

Harlan senior Kaleb McLendon placed sixth in long jump at the Class A state meet on Thursday in Lexington.

The Harlan Green Dragons competed in the Class A Track and Field State Championship in Lexington on Thursday. The Harlan boys placed 36th overall.
To lead the Dragons, Kaleb McLendon placed sixth in long jump and 19th in triple jump.
Dylan Cox finished 18th in the 800-meter run.
Nate Montanaro was 23rd in the 110-meter hurdles and ninth in high jump.
Tayquan Vick was 19th in the 300-meter hurdles.
In the 4 x 100 meter relay, McLendon, Vick, Jaedyn Gist and Darius Akal finished 22nd.
In the 4 x 400 meter relay, Cox, Noah Sharp, Akal and Montanaro placed 18th.
Marissa Marlowe was 20th in shot put to lead the Lady Dragons.
Emma Owens placed 21st in the triple jump.
In the 4 x 400 meter relay, Abbie Jones, Mia Pace, Owens and Peighton Jones placed 22nd.
In the 4 x 800 meter relay, Pace, Abbie Jones, Chloe Schwenke and Harper Carmical finished 20th.
