The Harlan County Black Bears put up quite a fight against one of the 13th Region’s top teams before falling 1-0 on Monday against visiting Whitley County.
Jacob Senters accounted for the only goal of the match on an assist from Javon Rider.
Canaan Parsons had 13 goal keeper saves.
Travis Burkhart had a big night in goal for the Bears with 47 saves.
The 4-6 Black Bears play host to Barbourville on Monday, then travel to Middlesboro on Tuesday and Knox Central on Thursday to close the regular season.
