Pineville senior Ava Arnett and Harlan County junior Kylee Hoiska battled at the net in Thursday's match at HCHS. The Lady Bears won in three sets to set a county record for wins with 23. Pineville also has 23 wins on the season and set a school record earlier.

Middlesboro defenders Aiden Spencer (12) and Joseph Craig (7) converged on Harlan County's Bradley Brock during the 50th District championship game at the James A. Cawood field. Both teams bowed out of the 13th Region Tournament Monday night at North Laurel.
