Harlan County split two state playoff games Saturday at Coal Miners Memorial Stadium, downing Wayne County 22-0 in the seventh-grade game before falling 32-24 to Knox Central in the sixth-grade game.
Hudson Faulkner, Eli Joseph and Caysen Farley each had touchdowns for the seventh-grade Bears, who improved to 5-3 going into a second-round game Thursday at Corbin.
Faulkner scored a pair of touchdowns for the Bears in the second half of the loss to Knox Central, getting as close as two points twice before Knox scored the game’s last touchdown in the final minutes.
