Trojans win county showdown against Cawood
The James A. Cawood Trojans bounced back from their first loss of the season two nights earlier against Evarts to knock off visiting Cawood 46-36 on Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.
Kaden Jones paced the Trojans with 16 points.
Brady Smith poured in 24 points to again lead the Cawood offense.
Adrian Fields scored 13 points as James A. Cawood won 33-18 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Kayden Gray and Shawn Smith each scored eight for the Comets.

The Evarts Wildcats closed the regular season with a sweep of visiting Green Hills.
Dakota Maggard led a balanced attack with nine points as the Wildcats won 35-8 in seventh- and eighth-grade action.
Cayson Farley scored 16 in the Wildcats’ 40-23 victory in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Phoenix Morgan led the Falcons with nine points.
Evarts won 23-3 in a fourth-grade game as Brady White paced the Wildcats with 12 points.
