Annual Bell County basketball camp features 65 participants

The fifth annual Brad Sizemore Bell County Boys Basketball Camp featured 65 participants. Former University of Kentucky basketball player Dominique Hawkins was the guest speaker. Bell County coaches, as well as current and former players, were the instructors at the camp.

Harlan County was well represented during the 13th Region Basketball Hall of Fame ceremony Saturday at The Corbin Arena. Former Cawood standouts Kim Kelley (left) and Lynette Lewis (right) and Harlan County's Blair Green were among those inducted this year. Harlan's Jordan Brock was also among those selected but was unable to attend the ceremony.
13th Region Hall of Fame class includes four from Harlan County
North Laurel junior Reece Davidson worked between Harlan County's Maddox Huff and Jaycee Carter for a shot in action from the 13th Region Tournament semifinals. Davidson led the Jaguars with 23 points in a 53-47 overtime victory.

Pineville guard Sawyer Thompson sliced between Clay County's Ethan Jackson and Landon Dezarn in action from the 13th Region Tournament on Thursday. Thompson had eight points and 10 assists in the Lions' 73-68 victory.
