The Harlan All Stars are one win away from a trip to the District 4 final four after an 11-1 win over Tri City on Monday in the District 4 East Tournament (ages 9-10) at Benham.
Leadoff hitter Weston Nolan led Harlan with an inside-the-park homer, double and single. Cian Garland had a double and single. Maddox Landa, Grant Caldwell and Landen Spurlock added two singles. Maddox Helton, Lakin Smith, Deacon Lisenbee, Sawyer Shackleford and Colt Sullivan contributed one single each.
Nolan started on the mound and gave up one hit with four strikeouts over 1 1/3 innings. Caldwell earned the win as he gave up one run on one hit over 2 2/3 innings.
Brennen Brock and Adam McLain had singles for Tri City.
Truett Baldwin gave up 11 runs in three innings on the mound. Hutton Sherman pitched one shutout inning with two strikeouts and no walks.
Harlan will play Knox County on Tuesday at 7 with the winner advancing to the district final four.
