
Rosspoint and James A. Cawood rolled into the finals of the seventh- and-eighth-grade county tournament with semifinal wins Thursday at James A. Cawood Elementary School.
James A. Cawood pulled away in the second half for a 49-28 win over Evarts while Rosspoint scored the first 17 points in the opening game on the way to a 45-16 victory against Wallins.
Hudson Faulkner scored 17 points to lead Rosspoint.
Leland Cope paced the Purple Devils with nine points.
JACES was led by Andrew Vance with 24 points and Easton Engle with 12.
Caysen Farley scored 17 for the Wildcats.
The consolation and championship games are set for Monday at Harlan County High School.
