Harlan reached the win column for the first time on Thursday with a 25-22, 11-25, 25-12, 24-26 15-11 win over the visiting Pineville Lady Lions.

“Last night was a great game. Each player fought hard for this win,” Harlan coach Cori Kirk said. “Yes, they might make the occasional mistake, but they worked quick to correct it and rallied together to come out with the win. I’m very proud of my team. It was a great first win of the season.”
Emma Owens led the 1-2 Lady Dragons with six service aces, 12 digs and six assists. Carley Thomas added eight service aces, six digs, four assists and two kills. Bailee Maples had four service aces, five digs, five assists and five kills. Marissa Marlowe added three service aces, two assists and five kills. Taylor Hall contributed two service aces, six digs and five assists. Annie Hoskins had one service ace, six digs, four assists and two kills. Tess Bryson aded one assist.
The two teams will meet again Tuesday at Pineville.

Bell County rolled past Pineville 25-19, 25-7, 25-11 on Tuesday and swept Middlesboro 25-10, 25-16, 25-11 on Thursday.
Raegan Robbins had a huge night against Pineville with 13 service aces, 14 digs, 15 assists and two kills. Madison Ford had three service aces, 15 digs and five kills. Makenna Lefevers added seven service aces, 11 digs and six kills.
Robbins also led Bell against Middlesboro with 25 service aces, nine digs, 10 assists and three kills. Ford had 17 digs and four kills. Lefevers added 16 digs, four service aces and three kills. Clara Bolinger had five service aces and 10 digs.
The 5-0 Lady Cats return to action Tuesday at Barbourville. Middlesboro (1-4) plays host to Williamsburg on Tuesday.
