Harlan County’s Lindsey Browning went to the net for a point in action Tuesday against visiting Letcher Central. The Lady Cougars won in three sets.

Off to a rare slow start, the Letcher Central Lady Cougars hope they found some momentum on Tuesday in a 25-10, 25-8, 25-3 rout at Harlan County.
I am hoping it does,” Letcher Central coach Betty Caudill said. “We have the student-athletes. We are just having a hard time getting started. The girls are positive and they work hard when we have practice. That is one thing that is hurting right now, not getting to practice very much because we are playing four games a week. I have had a different lineup every game, so, hopefully, we will get the right combination on the floor. You know you never want to peak to early, so this slow start may be good for us in the end. Only God knows. There is one thing I know about this group — they will not give up.”
Emma Bates and Keeka Sexton each had five service aces and two digs for the Lady Cougars. Summer Madden had 16 kills. Autumn Wampler contributed four service aces, two digs and six kills. Alli Back had two service aces and two digs. Keisha Niece added two service aces, two kills and one dig. Courtney Hayes contributed three kills
