Morris leads Patriots past South Laurel
Brayden Morris ran for 159 yards on nine carries and scored four touchdowns as New Harlan improved to 3-0 in fifth- and sixth-grade football action with a 28-12 win Saturday at South Laurel.
Colton Delaney added 60 yards on eight carries with a pair of two-point conversions. Hunter Moore had 55 yards on seven carries. Landon Brock added 22 yards on three carries.
Morris also led the New Harlan defense with eight tackles. Tyler Coots and Hunter Moore added six each.

 

Jones, Jackson power Harlan to win
Abbie Jones and Addison Jackson each scored six points to lead a balanced attack as Harlan closed its regular season schedule Thursday with a win over visiting Middlesboro.
Harper Carmical scored six and Vanessa Griffith added five as Harlan won 21-19 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
