Bell County broke out of a three-game scoreless streak in a big way Monday with an 11-5 win over Harlan County at the James A. Cawood Elementary School field.
Freshman Ryleigh Sturgill led the Lady Cats’ onslaught with six goals and two assists. Jayda Boateng added two goals and three assists. Kyra Ho also had two goals. Lyla Scearse contributed one goal and one assist. Hannah Fetters had three assists.
Ella Pruette recorded 10 goal keeper saves.
Rileigh Duff led Harlan County with two goals. Ashton Marlowe, McKenna Dillman and Brianna Barrett had one goal each.
Brooklyn Haywood recorded 13 goal keeper saves. Madlyn Burkhart added one save.
The 3-3 Lady Cats play host to Berea on Thursday. The 1-4 Lady Bears travel to Pikeville on Saturday.

Harlan County sophomore McKenna Dillman advanced down the field as Bell County’s Keira Good defended in district soccer action Monday. The visiting Lady Cats claimed an 11-5 victory.
