Pineville avenges loss with five-set victory at HC

Harlan County’s Brenna Early went to the net to finish off a point in action Thursday at home against Pineville.

The Pineville Lady Lions avenged an earlier home loss by going on the road to defeat Harlan County 25-20, 18-25, 25-21 21-25, 16-14 on Thursday.
Kailey Harris led the Lady Lions with 14 service aces, 16 digs and three kills. Summer Partin contributed 17 kills, seven digs six service aces and three blocks. Makenna Partin had six service aces, one block and three kills. Mallory Caldwell added eight assists, one dig and two kills. McKenzie Widner had 10 kills, four blocks and two service aces. Madison Wilder contributed three digs.
Lilly Caballero led the Lady Bears with 11 kills, three digs and three service aces. Lindsey Browning had eight kills, seven assists, three service aces and one kill. Brenna Early added seven assists and two service aces. Chloe Shelton had five assists and one dig. Emily Eldridge added six assists and two digs. Kamryn Hoiska contributed one assist and one block. Lindsay Hall added three assists.
Pineville (6-7) returns to action Oct. 12 at Bell County. Harlan County (3-8) plays at Harlan on Saturday.
