Harlan County’s elementary and middle school cross country teams traveled Corbin on Tuesday to compete in an all comers meet.
The sixth-grade and under boys and girls placed second.
The third-grade and under boys placed third overall.
Hutton Sherman won the boys sixth-grade and under race with a time of 8:02.05. Tate Sherman finished fourth with a time of 8:39.48. Dalton Johnson (9:26.97) and Levi Hensley (9:33.31) placed 11th and 13th, respectively. Zack Daniels (15th) finished with a time of 9:49.20.
In the girls sixth-grade and under race, Adalynn Shackleford was eighth with a time of 9:38.95. She was immediately followed by Ella Brock (9:42.63). Krislyn Clem finished 12th with a time of 9:48.35. Isabella Burkhart (11:39.76) placed 16th. Evva Hensley was 24th with a time of 13:20.45, immediately followed by Emily McKnight (13:24.36).
To lead the third-grade and under boys, Jett Lee placed seventh with a time of 9:50.26. Eli McKnight (23rd) finished with a time of 11:48.64. Blue Day was 31st with a time of 12:49.68, immediately followed by Oliver Hensley (12:56.26). Braxton Rigney (14:53.70) and Micah Lawson (17:10.0) were 39th and 43rd, respectively.
Kadie Lawson paced the third-grade and under girls, finishing 10th with a time of 11:11.05. Brooklyn Johnson placed 16th with a time of 12:20.43. Emma Mitchell (12:50.40) was 19th, immediately followed by Ava Williams (12:55.61).
Jace Hensley finished fifth with a time of 18:17.99 in the boys middle school race.
Harlan County will compete again Saturday at Monticello in the Cave Lake Fall Classic.
