Harlan and Harlan County each lost on the road Monday, combining for one hit between them against a pair of standout freshman pitchers.
Chris Parman struck out five and walked none while allowing only one hit over four innings to earn the win on the mound for the 11-1 Colonels. Christian Wilson struck out two in one hitless inning of relief.
Baylor Varner had the only hit for the Dragons with a single to open the game.
Brody Owens gave eight runs (six earned) on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks in three innings. Chris Rouse allowed two unearned runs in 1 1/3 innings, with two strikeouts and one walk.
The 5-5 Dragons play at Breathitt County on Tuesday.

Freshman Colton Stewart pitched a no-hittter as North Laurel improved to 4-5 on the season with a 4-0 win over visiting Harlan County. Stewart struck out 10 and walked two.
Carson Clark suffered the loss for the Bears as he gave up three unearned runs on four hits with no strikeouts or walks over three-plus innings. Logan Mils allowed one run on two hits in two-thirds of an inning. Aiden Lewis allowed one hit with three strikeouts and one walk in 2 1/3 innings.
The 6-5 Bears play host to Corbin on Thursday.
