The Harlan Green Dragons’ offensive slump continued Tuesday in a hard-fought 3-2 loss at Breahtitt County.
Harlan has lost five of its last six games and has been limited to two runs or less in all five losses.
Eli Freyer led the Dragons’ seven-hit attack with a double. Baylor Varner, Brody Owens, Jaxson Perry, Chris Rouse, Braxton Bowen and Cooper Thomas had one single each.
Varner suffered the loss as he gave up one run on three hits with three strikeouts and one walk over two innings. Jake Brewer allowed two runs on three hits with two strikeouts and two walks over four innings.
The 5-6 Dragons return to action Friday at Knox Central.
