Despite repeated pressure, Rosspoint’s defense held firm through most of the half before Jayden Baker broke through at the 8:21 mark to open the scoring. Cumberland added another just before the halftime whistle when Jordan Baker found the back of the net with only two seconds remaining, giving Cumberland a 2–0 lead at the break.
Cumberland carried that momentum into the second half. Shiv Chaudhari extended the lead at the 14:10 mark, and immediately following the restart, Jake Cornett capitalized on a steal from the kickoff to score again at 13:54.
Rosspoint regrouped defensively and held strong for a stretch before Cumberland found another surge late in the match. Cornett added his second goal of the evening at the 2:33 mark, followed shortly by another Cumberland goal from Skyler Boggs at 1:44. Cornett then completed his hat trick with a final goal at the 1:14 mark to close out the scoring.
With the win, Cumberland improved to 1–2 on the season, while Rosspoint moved to 0-3 after continuing to show defensive resilience against sustained offensive pressure.
