Black Mountain’s Chelsea Cottrell worked inside for two of her 27 points against Evarts on Thursday.

Chelsea Cottrell scored 27 points, including the game-winning basket in the closing seconds of overtime, as Black Mountain edged Evarts 41-40 on Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action at Harlan County High School.
Hannah Kirby scored 15 points and Drucilla Brown added 12 for Evarts.
Brianna Howard scored nine as Rosspoint defeated Cumberland 31-15.
