Davis leads Trojanettes to win over Evarts

James A. Cawood forward Leah Davis headed to the basket in Tuesday’s game against Evarts. Davis scored 26 points to lead the Trojanettes to a 36-35 win.

Leah Davis poured in 26 points as James A. Cawood edged Evarts 36-35 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Tuesday at Harlan County High School.
Drucilla Brown scored 10 for the Lady Cats. Ashley Preston, Tori Robinson and Hannah Kirby added seven points each.
Whitley Teague scored 16 points as Wallins rolled past Cumberland 32-13 in the opening game.
Kasady Hall led Cumberland with four points.
Harleigh Vanover scored 11 and Lindsey Skidmore added nine as Rosspoint defeated Black Mountain 30-24.
Jayde Parker and Chelsey Cottrell each scored 10 points to lead Black Mountain.
