Wallins, Rosspoint and James A. Cawood were winners on the opening night of seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Tuesday at JACES.
Ethan Simpson and Connor Daniels each scored 15 and Hunter Napier added 13 as Wallins defeated Cawood 50-30.
Ethan Shuler led the Comets with 12 points.
Brody Napier scored 14 as Rosspoint rallied for a 41-31 win over Evarts.
Ashton Sizemore paced Evarts with 17 points.
Jaycee Carter scored 14 as JACES coasted past Cumberland 34-17.
