Letcher Central’s win streak ended at three on Tuesday but not without quite a fight as the Cougars pushed 14th Region favorite Knott Central to the limit before falling 67-63 in Hindman.
Josh McGuire scored 21 points to lead the 7-2 Patriots. Colby Napier added 18. Scott Shepherd contributed 11.
Joby Johnson scored 22 and Isaiah Adams added 18 for the 5-3 Cougars.
Letcher Central will play host to Leslie County on Thursday. Knott Central will travel to Wolfe County on Friday.
