Devils, Trojans, Wildcats are winners in county basketball action

Wallins, James A. Cawood and Rosspoint were winners Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action at James A. Cawood Elementary School.
Hunter Napier scored 15 points to lead Wallins to a 43-14 win over Cumberland. Trenton Cole and Connor Daniels chipped in with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
Sedrick Washington led the Redskins with seven points.
Jaycee Carter scored 16 and Terry Delaney added 13 as the Trojans defeated Evarts 44-31.
Ashton Sizemore led Evarts with 17 points.
Rosspoint defeated Black Mountain 42-31 as Luke Kelly scored 12 and Brody Napier added 11 for the Wildcats.
Reggie Cottrell paced Black Mountain with eight points.
