Harlan County freshman Calan Neely returned a shot in tennis action Monday at Harlan. Both HCHS teams claimed wins.

Harlan County swept a tennis doubleheader Monday at Harlan, winning 2-0 in boys action and 7-0 in the girls match.
“I am very proud of our teams and how we are coming along. We have now won two in a row and these we are getting better each day. Each match is preparation for the regional tournament. We are finally getting into the form we need to be in to compete with some of these bigger teams,” Harlan County coach Caleb Bailey said. “Calan (Neely) and Bricen (Brock) stepped up to the plate today against Harlan’s number one boy and brought us some wins. Our girls doubles are getting tougher each day. I’m impressed with how Amber (Lewis), Jaya (Wilhelmy), Abigail (Gaw) and Lindsay (Hall) are playing. Laura (Ball) is a freshman and she is coming along. I’m proud of these kids.”
Harlan County (2-2) travels to North Laurel on April 13.
