Redskins defeat Harlan in middle school baseball


Cumberland’s Brayden Casolari was the winning pitcher Monday as the Redskins defeated Harlan 14-4.

Cumberland rolled to a 14-4 win Monday over Harlan in middle school baseball action.
Aiden Craig led the Reskins with a double and single. Christian Teaster singled twice. Zayden Casolari had a double. Josh Duckworth, Brayden Casolari, James Ryan Howard and Kaden Adams added one single each..
Brayden Casolari was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts.
Landon Myers led the Dragons with two singles. Matthew Nunez had a double. Jaxson Perry, Chris Rouse, Brody Owens, Baylor Varner and Eli Freyer added one single each.
Varner struck out four and walked four in two in two innings on the mound. Perry walked three in one inning. Brody Brock also saw mound action.
Harlan bounced back with a 17-2 win Tuesday over visiting Middlesboro.
Freyer earned the win on the mound, striking out three and walking two. He also led the Dragons at the plate with three singles and two RBI. Joseph Hoskins had a double and two RBI. Rouse, Owens and Varner added singles with Owens driving in two runs and Varner and Rouse driving in one each.
