The Harlan Lady Dragons posted a 15-5 record in middle school softball action this season, advancing to the regional semifinals before falling to Corbin.

Harlan clinched the top seed in district tournament action and closed out its regular season at 13-3 with a 10-5 win Thursday over visiting Middlesboro in middle school softball action.
Addison Jackson led the Harlan offense with a double and two singles. Ella Farley contributed two singles and an inside-the-park homer. Carley Thomas singled three times. Ella Lisenbee had a single and inside-the-park homer. Abbi Fields and Ava Nunez added one single each.
Thomas earned the win on the mound as she pitched a three-hitter with seven strikeouts.
“This is a special group of young ladies who gave me and assistant coach Scott Lisenbee 110 percent each and every day,” Harlan coach Conrad Thomas said. “We have coached these girls since T-ball, and they all have what I like to call the eye of the tiger. These girls are like family. I know when our team goes on the field they are going to give me everything in them to get the win. It’s been a heck of a year and it has been fun to coach them, but we aren’t finished yet. We want that district title.”
