The Harlan Lady Dragons posted a 15-5 record in middle school softball action this season, advancing to the regional semifinals before falling to Corbin.

Harlan completed the best season in its history with a win and a loss in the 13th Region Tournament for middle school softball on Saturday.
The Lady Dragons rolled to a 21-0 win over Lynn Camp in the quarterfinals as Carley Thomas pitched a one-hitter with three strikeouts.
Ella Lisenbee led Harlan at the plate with a double and two singles. Ella Farley and Thomas added two singles each. Addison Jackson had a double. Amy Roman added a single.
Harlan fell 12-2 to Corbin the semifinals.
Thomas led the Lady Dragons with two singles. Jackson had a double.
Harlan finished the season at 15-5, winning the regional All “A” Classic title and finishing second in the 52nd District.
“This wasn’t how I wanted the season to end, but I loved coaching this group. It’s a very talented bunch of young girls,” Harlan coach Conrad Thomas said. “I’m going to really miss coaching them. The future looks bright for Harlan High School softball.”

Middlesboro captured the middle school district softball title with an 8-5 win over visiting Harlan in the finals.
Carley Thomas led the Lady Dragons on offense with two doubles. Addison Jackson and Ava Nunez had two singles each. Ella Farley added a triple. Abbi Fields had a single.
Thomas pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts.
Harlan (14-4) rolled to a 12-1 win over Cumberland in the semifinals as Thomas gave up four hits and struck out five.
Thomas also led Harlan at the plate with two doubles. Jackson had one double. Nunez added a single.
Halanah Shepherd led Cumberland with a triple. Alyssa Sherman, Kasady Hall and Aviya Halcomb added singles.
