Gann rallies for seventh victory in the Harlan Invitational

A winner for the seventh time in 15 years, Matt Gann knows what it takes to come out on top at the Harlan Invitational. The Pineville resident found a way again on Sunday after trailing by three strokes following the first 18 holes on Saturday.
Gann had five birdies over the final 18 holes and finished with a four-under 132 to edge University of Cumberlands golfer Braxton Caldwell by one stroke. Codie McDowell and Pete Cornett Jr. were each two strokes behind with a 134.
Eli Estep was the winner in the first flight with a 145, four strokes ahead of Brandon Myers and Danny Caudill.
Brayden Casolari, an eighth-grader at Cumberland Elementary School, won the second flight with a 144, six strokes ahead of Nathan Halcomb and 11 ahead of Marcus Johnson.
Jared Sizemore won the third flight with a 170, one stroke ahead of Greg McKnight and Shane Watts.
Jared Gilbert was the winner in the fourth flight with a 175, two strokes ahead of Michael Simpson and six ahead of Jason Moore.
