Harlan wins one, loses two in 9-10 tourney

The Harlan All-Stars were eliminated from Area 4 Tournament action Sunday at Hazard, winning one game and losing two in the 9-10 division.
Harlan opened with a 14-8 win over Leslie County on Friday. Carter Caldwell led Harlan with a double and two singles. Easton Engle, Cooper Thomas, Jackson Mackowiak, Hunter Coker, Carson Sanders, Derrick Holman and Trey Creech had two hits each. Logan Mills added one single.
Hazard/Perry County defeated Harlan 12-2 in the Area 4 finals on Saturday. Engle, Thomas, Sanders, Coker, Creech, Caldwell and Holman had hits.
Leslie County captured second place with a 5-4 win over Harlan on Sunday. Caldwell led Harlan with two hits. Engle, Thomas, Mackowiak and Creech added one hit each.
