Featuring several members of next year’s Harlan County High School freshman team, the Harlan County Grizzlies are having a strong summer with seven wins in seven games.
Harlan County won a tournament at Carson-Newman University on Saturday, sweeping four games.
Jaycee Carter poured in 22 points as the Grizzlies routed Tennessee Swarm 45-16. Hunter Napier added 10, followed by Brody Napier with seven, Connor Daniels with four and Terry Michael Delaney with two.
Hunter Napier scored 16 in the Grizzlies’ 43-29 win over Tennessee Heat. Daniels added nine points. Carter and Delaney scored eight each. Brody Napier chipped in with two.
Daniels exploded for 21 points in a 54-25 victory over the Tennessee Swarm. Carter tossed in 16 with Hunter Napier scoring 11, Delaney scoring four and Brody Napier adding two.
Led by 11 points from Daniels and 10 each from Carter and Brody Napier, the Grizzlies edged the Wildcats 47-42. Delaney and Hunter Napier added eight points each
