Evarts uses balanced attack to down Rosspoint

Led by six points from Trinity Jones and five from Willow Peace, visiting Evarts edged Rosspoint 22-18 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Monday.
Maliyah Washington led Rosspoint with six points.
Jaylee Cochran scored 11 points and Reagan Clem added 10 as Rosspoint won 40-8 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Evarts won 1-0 in a fourth-grade game as Crissalyn Jones scored for the Lady Cats.

Harlan County falls at North Pulaski in playoffs

The middle school football season ended Saturday for both Harlan County teams with playoff losses at North Pulaski.
The seventh-grade team fell 40-0 and ended the season at 4-4. The eighth-grade team lost 42-0 and closed the year with a 2-8 mark.

 

Skidmore powers Rosspoint in victory over Cawood

Lindsey Skidmore scored 18 points to lead Rosspoint in a 45-26 win Thursday at Cawood in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.
Maddi Middleton paced Cawood with 16 points.
Jaycee Simpson tossed 10 as Rosspoint rolled to a 41-15 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
