Wildcats sweep tripleheader at Cumberland

Evarts swept a basketball tripleheader on Thursday at Cumberland.
Jacob Deleon scored 17 and Aidan Reynolds added 11 as the Redskins won 40-28 in seventh- and eighth-grade action.
Kayden Adams poured in 17 to lead Cumberland.
Brenton Bargo exploded for 23 points as Evarts won 42-35 in fifth- and sixth-grade action. Kobe Noe Sanders added 12 points.
Hayden Grace led the Redskins with 13 points.
Evarts won 6-4 in a fourth-grade game as Braxton Anglian scored six.

Smith, Engle lead Trojans to win over Wallins

Logan Smith scored 13 points and Easton Engle added 12 as James A. Cawood downed Wallins 34-24 in fifth- and sixth-grade basketball action Thursday.
Tanner Daniels led the host Devils with 13 points.

Rosspoint rolled to a 50-10 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Hayston Saylor and Grant Shelton led a balanced attack with eight points each.

Carr leads Tigers to opening-game win over Wallins

Shemar Carr poured in 26 points as Black Mountain opened its regular-season schedule Tuesday with a 59-20 win over visiting Wallins in.seventh-and eighth-grade basketball action.
Reggie Cottrell and Blake Short added 17 and 12 points, respectively, for the Tigers.
Noah Howard led the Devils with nine points.
Tanner Daniels scored 16 points and Ryan Day added 12 as Wallins won 46-29 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.
Noah Whitaker powered Black Mountain with 21 points.
