Cumberland eighth-grader Brayden Casolari closed the 2021 season by finishing second in a tournament in Gulf Shores, Ala.

While the high school golf season ended months ago, Cumberland eighth-grader Brayden Casolari was only getting started.
Casolari, one of the region’s top high school golfers, competed in 25 youth tournaments around the southeastern United States, capturing five wins and 19 top five finishes. He is currently ranked nationally and will open the 2022 season in North Carolina during the first week of February.
He completed the 2021 season at the Mid South Tours Beach Classic in Gulf Shores, Ala. The tournament featured 27 golfers from six states and was a 36-hole, two-day event. Casolari finished second overall after starting seven over par on the first nine holes.
