With a career-high 48 points on Monday against Red Bird, Harlan guard Jordan Akal earned his fourth selection as the Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week while also being named the KABC 13th Region Coaches Association Player of the Year.
Akal scored 21 in the Dragons’ regular-season finale at Clay County and goes into tournament play with 2,556 points to rank second all-time in HHS history behind only 1995 Mr. Basketball Charles Thomas.
