Harlan junior Dawson Irvin helped start the Green Dragons’ run to the 13th Region All “A” Classic finals with a dominating pitching performance in a first-round win at Lynn Camp on Monday to help him earn the honor as this week’s Kellie Wilson Law Office Player of the Week.
Irvin gave up only one hit and struck out 14 as the Green Dragons won 11-1. Harlan defeated Pineviille 17-2 in the semifinals before falling 8-1 at Jackson County in the championship game.
