Green Dragons pummel Red Bird

Harlan’s Donovan Montanaro took a throw at second base in Saturday’s game at McCreary Central. Montanaro was the winning pitcher as the Dragons routed Red Bird 25-1 in three innings.

Harlan scored 14 runs in the first inning and added 11 more in the second on the way to a 25-1 three-inning rout of visiting Red Bird on Monday.
The 6-6 Green Dragons had nine hits, led by inside-the-park homers from both Evan Browning and Noah Lewis, who combined for seven RBI. Browning also had a single. Jared Moore had two singles., Andrew Roark added a triple. Jaedyn Gist, Matthew Nunez and Donovan Montanaro had one single each.
Montanaro earned the win as he struck out five and walked one in 2 1/3 innings on the mound. Cameren Maples recored the final two outs, striking out two and walking one.
Juan Bynum had Red Bird’s only hit and scored the only run for the Cardinals.
