Harlan fell 17-5 to Jackson County on Monday in a first-round game from the 13th Region All “A” Classic.
Ava Nunez led the 3-6 Lady Dragons with two singles. Mallory McNiel added a double. Addison Jackson, Carley Thomas and Annie Thomas contributed singles.
Carley Thomas suffered the loss as she gave up 12 runs (three earned) on six hits in 1 2/3 innings, with two strikeouts and two walks. McNeil pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits with one walk and no strikeouts.
The Lady Dragons return to action Thursday at Cumberland Gap, Tenn.
