Harlan County’s Hailey Gaw, pictured in action earlier this season, was an 8-0 winner Tuesday in her match at Williamsburg.

The Harlan County tennis team continued its breakout 2022 season with a pair of wins Tuesday at Williamsburg.
The Lady Bears improved to 10-3 on the season with a 5-0 victory.
The HCHS boys upped their record to 6-5 with a 4-1 win.
“I’m very proud of our teams. This is back to back seasons our girls squad has gotten to the 10-win mark.Today was a lot of good experience for some of our eighth-graders. It’s good to see our younger players embrace the role of playing a higher seed. That will take them very far in the future with this experience. A few more matches are the difference between the regional tournament. I’m proud of our teams.”
Harlan County will return to action Thursday at Knox Central and will play at home on Friday against North Laurel.
