Irvin shuts out Barbourville as part of Autism Awareness Classic

Harlan’s Dawson Irvin, pictured in action earlier in the week, tossed a shutout on Saturday as the Green Dragons edged visiting Barbourville 2-0,

Harlan lost two of three games over the weekend in the Autism Awareness Classic, defeating Barbourville 2-0 and falling twice to Cumberland Gap, Tenn.
Dawson Irvin pitched a two-hitter in the win over Barbourville on Saturday, striking out five and walking two.
Evan Browning had the only hit for the Dragons with an RBI double. Donovan Montanaro and Jaedyn Gist scored the Harlan runs.
Harlan fell 8-6 to Cumberland Gap on Saturday.
Cameren Maples, Montanaro and Noah Lewis had two singles each for the Dragons. Gist, Andrew Roark, Jared Moore and John Mark Bryson added one single each.
Moore pitched all four innings for the Dragons, giving up eight uns (three earned) on 11 hits, with two strikeouts and two walks.
The Dragons dropped an 8-1 decision to Cumberland Gap on Friday.
Browning led Harlan with a double. Aiden Johnson and Gist added singles. Bryson suffered the loss on the mound, giving up three runs in 1 2/3 innings. Johnson and Moore also saw action on the mound.
Harlan (10-14) will play host to Pineville on Thursday.
